Privacy Policy TanCast App - UV Protection

TanCast ("we," "us," "the app") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices.

No account required. TanCast does not require you to create an account or provide your name, email, or any other personal identifier to use the app.

Location. TanCast uses your device's location, with your permission, to fetch the local UV index and forecast. Your location is sent to Open-Meteo (our weather data provider) to retrieve this forecast and is not stored by us.

Skin scan photo. If you use the AI skin scan feature, your photo is sent securely to Anthropic (our AI provider) to estimate your Fitzpatrick skin type. The photo is not stored by TanCast or by our servers after the analysis completes. You can skip the scan and set your skin type manually at any time.

Health-related preferences. Your skin type, tanning goal, and whether you've indicated a sun allergy or photosensitivity condition are stored only on your device and are not transmitted to us or any third party, except as needed to perform the skin scan described above.

Session history. If you use the tan timer, your session history (duration, UV level, date) is stored only on your device.

Subscriptions. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App S manage subscription status; RevenueCat receives standardpurchase/transaction data from Apple to do this. We do not receive or store your payment details.

Analytics and crash reporting. We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand app usage and diagnose crashes. This may include device information, app usage events, and crash logs. This data is not lact information, since we don't collect either.

Push notifications. If you enable notifications, your device rece, UV forecasts, sunscreen reapplication) and, for subscribers, ascheduled forecast alert. This does not require any personal data beyond your device's notification token.

Children's privacy. TanCast is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to this policy. We may update this policy from time to time. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
